After an extended holiday our family has returned to road life and traveling with the Silver Team.  The first conference landed our team and our family in McComb, Mississippi for an eight day conference with First Baptist Church, McComb.  Our family was delighted to be back on the road and serving God in the capacity He has chosen for us.  In this journey we are constantly amazed and awe-inspired by the ways God loves us and changes us.  Grace Anne is praying about traveling as a full time team member next year and what that looks like as a singer or where God may be directing her path.

Our family is praying about if God would have us to continue in the area of ministry we are currently in (we never want to take for granted that we are to just stay put because it has become normal or comfortable), the team is praying through decisions about where they will be next year.  It is an exciting time of changes and growth and a scary time for some of us as we realize that God may be moving certain team members to areas of ministry other than Silver Team.

Also the church members are experiencing the wonder and holiness as well as the changing grace of God through the meetings and worship in song that we are experiencing each evening.  Here are some testimonies of the people as they walk through the week with God revealing to them the changes or commands He is issuing for them during this time of concentrated effort on Him, His Word and His holiness.  Thank you to our supporters for this amazing opportunity to watch God calling His people to repentance and to an authentic relationship with Him.  Blessing everyone!

This week God found me attempting to daily surrender to Him in a ever-present battle over a call to preach. …I was comfortable, God has used me in these roles but I have an increasing sense in my spirit that I am settling for the ‘good’ rather than trust God for His best.

I was a perfectionist, a task oriented person. Then God gave us a child through adoption and she is the opposite of me.  I have tried and tried to get her to check off lists, make straight A’s, obey, obey, obey. I always had a disappointed look towards her when she did not fulfill the task I gave her… How dare I?!?  This week I was broken of that.  I asked her forgiveness and my goal from now on is to love her, to teach her to be holy and  let everything else fall into place.

God has revealed that I have a spirit of PRIDE, deep inside of me.  He has shown me I need to seek forgiveness.  I have sought the forgiveness of my team and want to lead them by following and serving God.

This week Shane spoke on the foundation of marriage.  Our marriage started on rocky ground and after 32 years we realized that God wanted to rebuild our marriage on a stronger foundation.  We are actively choosing God as our foundation and praying for 32 more years of a marriage full of God and the biblical standards as designed by Him.

I am a worn out mom of 5.  My precious 3 year old son is my biggest battle, strong-willed with behavior that made me so angry.  Shane was teaching on sins of the flesh, namely OUTBURSTS OF ANGER and I knew instantly that he was talking to me.  I have been learning to let go of pride and having my way.  I’ve sought the forgiveness of my children and husband.  I am very thankful to you and God for sharing truth.

As a father, God has revealed to me that I have failed to really teach my children how to be Holy and live a life surrendered to Him. I have been a drill sergeant and not parented in love.
